Love's Battle

I see your face and suddenly I'm there
We kiss and hear each other's voice so clear

A day we will later remember sweet
With others bleak and drab, this one unique

Can we not be together like the rest?
Is our fate so cruel as to tempt us thus?

Hide not your face, my love, from life like this
We can defeat the evil champion
We can and will find our eternal bliss
